We are pleased to now offer a Steadicam service using our new L’Aigle rig with wireless director monitoring. The rig can fly any camera up to a maximum weight of 9Kg. Here it is shown flying one of our HD cameras, the PMW350.
A Steadicam essentially combines the stabilised steady footage of a conventional tripod mount with the fluid motion of a dolly shot and the flexibility of hand-held camera work. While smoothly following the operator’s broad movements, the Steadicam’s armature absorbs any jerks, bumps, and shakes.
These images are from a recent shoot where the director wanted the camera to glide around the presenters.
